It’s been a long time coming, and it’s here for a good time not a long time — serve as a fancy margarita, and Old Gin highball, or simply pour over ice and enjoy. 

This collaboration came to be, thanks to a shared love of oranges and endless tinkering in quiet warehouse corners. Four years ago, Marionette Curaçao barrels rolled their way to Healesville, primed for Four Pillars high proof Rare Dry Gin. Two years later, those same barrels looped their way back to Marionette Land, to rest up some more, and be dosed with sweet orange. It’s orange on orange on orange. And it’s delicious.

Cocktails

Old Fashioned

60ml old gin
Method: stir over ice and strain over  large ice cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

Old Gin Highball

45ml old gin
90ml soda
Method: build in a highball glass. Top with ice. Garnish with an orange wedge.

Margarita

30ml tequila
30ml old gin
25ml lime juice
10ml agave syrup
Method: combine all ingredients in a tin and shake with ice. Strain into a rocks glass. Top with ice and garnish with an orange wedge.

Dave’s Paper Plane

20ml old gin
20ml bourbon
20ml rhubi
20ml lemon juice
Method: combine all ingredients in a tin and shake with ice. Strain into a coupe glass.

Marionette's curacao features Navel, Seville & Blood oranges sourced directly from Glen, a third generation citrus farmer from Mildura. The oranges in their many forms are macerated, distilled and barrel aged with cask strength brandy from South Australia to create a truly local option to showcase in classic and “Fancy” cocktails.
